“Do the work of an evangelist!” … does this speak to you?
People come to Threshold Ministries from a variety of backgrounds. There are those who have plenty of academic qualifications while others come with virtually none. We have people of all ages and from a variety of church and denominational backgrounds. There are those who have many years of evangelism already under their belts while others have only limited experience. Some have been Christians all their lives; others have come to faith relatively recently. Some are considering full-time paid ministry, others part-time ministry, and still others feel called to voluntary ministry. Some people can be quite flexible in where they live while others are restricted by various circumstances.
What all of them have is the drive, desire and ability to make the love of Christ known to others – standing together, sharing the hope. They are able to spot the opportunities and openings for the Gospel that God provides and to respond to them creatively. Perhaps you believe that God is nudging you in this area. Perhaps, having looked at other parts of this website, you are wondering if Threshold Ministries might be right for you.
The initial response of many people, after seeing the criteria, is a feeling of inadequacy. But while we may feel inadequate, God is not! And the training provided will go a long way in helping you prepare for ministry. Stand strong – ask God to speak to you as you begin your discernment process.
