We are thrilled to announce that our National Director, Rev. Deborah Moyo and her husband, Mandela, gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Thembinkosi Elisha Moyo. His name “Thembinkosi” means “Trust in God,” and “Elisha” signifies “our Salvation.”

Mother and baby are both home from the hospital and doing well. We are filled with gratitude to God for their health and for this gift from God.

While Deborah is on maternity leave, Marilyn Otis will be the Interim National Director. Marilyn became the Director of Threshold House in July 2024 after serving Threshold Ministries in various capacities, including as the Financial Officer since 2016 and the Director of Projects since 2023.

Marilyn holds a bachelor’s degree from Kingswood University and has extensive experience, having served as the Financial Officer at Kingswood University for 8 years before joining Threshold Ministries. Along with her husband, Ed, she has also been involved in Pastoral Ministry in Hartland, NB and Shelburne, NS.

Marilyn is passionate about the work of Threshold Ministries, and her years of experience make her an excellent choice for this role. We are confident in her leadership and commitment during this time.

I appreciate your support of Threshold Ministries. We could not share the love of Jesus and His hope with people across Canada without your prayers and generosity. Together, we are rooted in Christ and sharing hope.

If you would like to contact Marilyn, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
