It has been exciting and encouraging to see many positive gains made over the past six months. I recently met Jason,* who struggled with alcohol addiction and has been clean for over a year and reunited with his family. He now has a brighter outlook and has sought to grow spiritually and stay connected to a recovery community. Every day, I am more firmly convinced that Jesus can change a life and truly bring hope to someone who is struggling. Recently I read Lamentations 3:22-24.
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” Lamentations 3:22-24 (NIV)
God is compassionate and goes to great lengths to redeem us. This is an encouragement as we spend our days ministering to those leaving lives of incarceration and beginning their new life in society in New Brunswick.
- Pray for continued openness for the men we connect with.
- Pray each person we walk with will find paths to redemption with Jesus.
