For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you took me in, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. Matthew 25:35-36
Street Hope Victoria aims to mitigate the despair at the nexus of homelessness and addiction in the downtown core in Victoria, BC by walking with the poor. We offer food, clothing, encouragement, prayer, and a weekly connection/discussion/reflection group.

Toronto Chaplaincy for Men exists to build relationships and serve individuals who are making the transition from incarceration to life outside of prison. Our goal is to build relationships and help connect individuals to faith communities. We work in the Keele Community Correctional Centre. This includes having office space to ensure our presence is consistent and visible.

Wednesday, April 9, 2025 Pray for an increase in the number of volunteers from the church community who are willing to lovingly serve parolees and treat them as fellow humans. Government supervision tends to be impersonal and focused on risk management rather than restoration of the individual.

Thursday, April 10, 2025 Pray for the 10 or so volunteers that serve dinners at the Keele Community Correctional Centre. They bring food, but it’s the love of Jesus that comes through as they eat together and treat the men as loved children of God.

Friday, April 11, 2025 Pray for more employers to be willing to hire ex-prisoners and also pray for creative funding ideas to help get guys working and productive, even for time-limited periods. Some have never worked a legitimate job before.

Saturday, April 12, 2025 Toronto Chaplaincy is beginning to offer sponsorships for individuals to receive trauma counselling. Pray for ongoing funding and gifted counsellors to participate in this initiative.

Sunday, April 13, 2025 Pray for favour with Corrections Canada staff, parole officers and the federal institutions we visit. Pray that we will find “persons of peace” in the system who open up spaces for Kingdom work.

Monday, April 14, 2025 Pray that those incarcerated will make “decisions” to enter Jesus’ kingdom of Heaven. Many who have lived dark and difficult lives intuitively know that such a decision is a big one that will cost them in some way. May they understand that the cost of following Christ is well worth it!

Toronto Chaplaincy for Women seeks to serve women coming out of incarceration. We support them in their reintegration process by offering a listening ear, accompanying them to appointments, and providing spiritual support. Our desire is to support women who are starting their lives over. We also connect them with supportive faith communities where they can experience belonging, healing, and love.

Sunday, April 27, 2025 Pray for the financial stability of Threshold Ministries.  This is a difficult financial time for most with so much uncertainty in the world.  Pray that Threshold can withstand these difficult financial times.
